| Description |
7th Serpent: Crossfire is the opening chapter of the 7th Serpent Single-Player Mod for the Max Payne 2 game engine, thrusting players into a world of corruption, secrecy and vengeance. You will control Damon Pryce, the first genetically-engineered prototype of a covert program from a giant biotech corporation contracted by the Military to create soldiers with super-human capabilities.
The entire 7th Serpent project represents several years of development time from a team comprised of highly skilled modders and professional game developers. This first chapter promises unusually high production values with custom Graphic Novel artwork, a full blown orchestral score from a successful Hollywood composer, talented voice-acting and entirely new 3d modeling and texturing assets done in near-futuristic aesthetic that heavily deviates from Max Payne 2. The gameplay features exciting cinematic flair-laden sequences with non-stop action that push the envelope of what you have come to expect from a Single-Player Mod. You will get to fight HUMVEES, Armored Personal Carriers, military tanks, choppers and massive loads of military and police troops. It is to be a grueling, bloody and very personal affair. |

Best mod ever seen for BF2, problem is that even on my 4Ghz Pentium 4 processor, the game still takes forever to load. So if you want to play this mod, make a cup of coffee or something and read one chapter of War and Peace.
Still, 5/5 for the perfect story, weapons, gameplay, etc. |

Lag for me, who cares? it's my fault I have a low end PC (64 MB Video Memory & Pentium 4) but turning the settings to low and waiting 5 minutes to load equals very worth it, it was a whole new game, Elements of Style is a big mod but this one is a whole new game! nice voice's, music, sounds and overall LEVEL! character is also pretty nice, he does really look like a super soldier Micheal Bay thing, but he needs more health to make really a "super soldier", but I can't wait for Chapter 2, graphic novel is also pretty cool, I like the cartoon comic style and voice oh my God the are really professional, This is a precious diamond! Keep up the good work! |

The best MP2 mod so far. Although the ending cinematic was a bit buggy for me, they repeated a line twice. And a custom character model would be nice. |

I love this mod. It has the look and feel of a Michael Bay movie. I loved attacking the helicopters, the tanks, the realistic explosions, and the musical scores. The game is not perfect, though. Yes, there's a long loading screen, and there should've been more central characters involved--not just villains.
All flaws aside, this is a great mod, and I am looking forward to chapter 2. With all this high praise that mod is getting, you should'nt lose faith on making chapter 2 (which is what most modders do). Keep up the good work! |

I've been playing this mod 4 about 2 hours now and I dont think I'm even halfway through it yet. Nice highly detailed graphics with audio to match! It aint just any old Max Pany 2 mod or tc, it's a whole new fucking game!!! If u want to benchmark your PC then use this mod. Yes it takes a while to load up, but who cares? I just love it. One question though, are there going to be any more episodes of this mod? |

what i would add to this mod is original models or skins...just to distance itself even further from the original Max Payne 2 game...
because it's basically an entirely different game...design is superior, cinematics are excellent...
it's just sweet

I gotta say this one is hands down one of the best mods I've ever played for MP2. I liked the music, voice over, character models, and the level design. I was a little turned off by the long loading, but once it started up, I enjoyed it. For the most part gameplay was smooth, but when I got to the part where you face off against the officers outside, it lagged as bullets flew from many directions.
All in all this is a fun mod. 5/5 |

Well talk about a lagging mod. BTW, no gun tweaks
why not?
I give it 2/5 becoz the levels were cool & the soundtrack thingy was pretty cool too. But otherwise, sorry but i didn't like it. It lagged way to much the warning said.... |

Just a perfect mod. The only thing I would like to see more is some new models. It still feels like I'm playing max payne 2. But the maps are even better than max payne 2's! |

First one to finish this great mod the mod has some the best atmospheric musical score that I ever heard level design is dark colorful and somewhat futuristic the tanks and helicopters provide a good amount of challenge to your standard armed soldiers and police officers the best moment when I fought on the bridge against those rocket propelling helicopters this is an fantastic yet original start of a great mod episodic series
5/5
the only negative side is the long loading time to compromise this wonderful mod |
