I think it's a pretty good mod kinda short tho
you play as Mona Sax in 3-4 new levels in silent hill like style.
but the writeing and subtitles are not in english, if someonelike to translate this mod and post it go ahead. |

Max Payne 2 - Payne Effects MOD v2.0 by The Silver
I can surely say that this version 2.0 is totally new, with lot of key features that will drammatically change the original gameplay, and also with new spectacular unique effects.
The intent of the mod is always to make Max Payne 2 more realistic and tactical, but at the same time to give a cinematographic feel to the shootouts.
Thanks to Fr0z3n77, evolvercobra, naspter, Andersen and VGames for helping me making the version 2.0 of my mod.
Version 2.0 Features:
Added smoke when a bullet hits a character (more realistic also when without bodyarmour)
Added little bullettrail to enemies sniper rifles bullet (it helps you to find them)
Added lot of new decals different by material (carpet, light, drape, electric panel, gravel, marble, paper, rock, stucco…)
Added lot of new particle effects different by material (default, metal, cardboard, stucco, rock, wood…)
HUD weapon names translated to english (i'm italian but now it's better...)
Added frequency scaling to all the voices (so when in bullettime enemies voices, tv shows, etc. are slowed down)
Added real beretta logos to the old skin
Added working beretta sliders when shooting
Beretta sliders are open when you have finished the magazine and you reload
Added sparks particle effect when firing shotguns (more John Woo like)
Shotgun shells emits a little smoke puf when they hits the ground
Different decals to shotgun bullethit (mostly form Max Payne 1)
Added BattleDust feature (when bullets hits a wall that produces smoke puff it creates also a slow big smoke that remains in the air for 16 seconds, now the shootouts are way more realistic with cinematographic smoke everywhere) *
Replaced grenade with FragGrenade
Added fragments to FragGrenade (so when exploding the grenade creates a high number of invisible fragments)
New FragGrenade bouncing sound (you will recognize it, trust me…) *
Added new particle effects to FragGrenade explosion (now it creates lot of smoke and dust that will remain all around for a few seconds, it also throws in the air a column of debris that will fall to the ground after explosion)
Added physicalized debris created from the FragGrenade explosion (with new 3d model, physic properties and his particular bouncing sound and decal)
Added FlashBang grenade (white flash, short motionblur and a hearbeep sound if you are too close when it explodes, enemies will be blind and not fire to you for some seconds, it has custom explosion decal and 3d model with working spoon)
Added SmokeGrenade (it creates a lot of smoke for 20 seconds, enemies will run away and search for cover, it has custom explosion decal and 3d model with working spoon)
Added working grenade safe pin and spoon (when launching the grenade is without the safety pin, when launched the spoon jumps of rotating and hits the ground staying there with phisic properties, the the grenade is now without spoon and it can explode, it's basically the real working of a grenade)
New Burning Death 1 (the enemy become surrounded by lot of fire, not the original little fire, he starts screaming and weaving his hands on hair and will die after a few seconds) *
New Burning Death 2 (the enemy become surrounded by lot of fire, not the original little fire, he starts screming and running with hands on his face and will die after a few seconds) *
Added blood to the Grenade Death (caused by the new grenade fragments)
New BT Reload remap (when you reload in deep bullettime the game turns to a red colour during the reload animation) *
Redone and fixed some of the menu images (more various)
Different bullet speeds (pistols and shotguns are slower, rifles are faster and sniper rifles are really faster)
Less Ragdoll impulse by bullets (now the dead bodies will not fly away when shooting with faster weapons)
New louder firing sounds (more realistic)
Shootdodge slowmotion redone (now the slowmotion continues until you stop firing, it will help a lot in the shootouts) *
New Molotov explosion particle effect, decal and fire fragments (like Max Payne 1)
New breaking glass particle with lot of pieces (way more realistic)
Added gravity that affects bullet trajectory (it's realistic, so it's noticeable only on far distances)
Added rotating bullets (you will notice it in the sniper cam, it's more realistic and also very spectacular) **
New 2 hand crouch (when holding a 2 handed weapon there is a new tactical crouch animation)
Fixed Suppressing Fire function (now the enemies react realistically to your shoots)
Added a very little motionblur when in bullettime (it's barely noticeable so it's not fastidious)
Decreased a lot the player's health to realistic values (now the gameplay is more realistic, tactical and difficult)
Different damage values for body parts (less damage to arms and legs, aim for the chest, but to the head it's better)
Reduced maximum ammo capacity (now you can pickup a realistic number of magazines, do not waste your ammo)
Added a little shake when shooting (it adds realism to the shootouts, and makes them more spectacular)
New more realistic muzzleflashes (better lighting, now the gun emits a little smoke after shooting)
Little better AI (reduced reaction and aiming times, decreased the initial inaccuracy)
New Beretta leather shoulder holster (added to the standard Max Payne model)
Added physicalized bullet shells and magazines (now every single magazine and bullet shell have its own physic properties and will react realistically to shoots, explosions, footsteps and much more…) *
Added little pressurewave to bullet impacts (so if you shoot to a physicalized shell it makes a little "jump" due to the bullet that hits the surface, it's more realistic and really spectacular)
New Mona face skin (little darker, and maybe sexy...)
New HUD weapon icons and text
Added new Beretta Silenced (from Cinema Mod)
Added specific Silenced bullet (gunshot not heard by enemies, but if the bullet hits too near them they will recognize you)
Added new HK Dual MP5k (better model and textures)
New M4A1 real magazine (with custom 3d model and textures)
Added working AimPoint Scope to the M4A1 (with real reticle)
New G36c real magazine (with custom 3d model and textures)
Added fake ironsight to the G36c
New tactical shoot anims for rifles (more realistic)
Fixed custom weapons models orientation (now the gun will emit the bullet shell from the right side)
Added MP5K reload skin item (it's basically the gun without the magazine when reloading)
Added M4A1 reload skin item (it's basically the gun without the magazine when reloading)
Added G36c reload skin item (it's basically the gun without the magazine when reloading)
New sniper cam to Steyr and Dragunov (ways better, also with little motionblur and skipn possibility) **

Hi to all, i decided to upload this mod that i made only for myself long time ago.
I hope you will enjoy it.
Initially it was based on the DeathRow Mod but during the months i changed lot of things
mixing features made from myself and from other mods, i really don't remember all of them,
so if you see part of your work in my upload please contact me and i will give you credits.
But i repeat: it's not entirely made by me.

It's my "4 FUN" mod, for those who wait for better mods want to relax playing Max Payne 2 game. So let's begin.
Main character is based on that dude from "Batman: Battle for the Cowl" Allesio Morandi.
Features:
- Dual Minigun - it' almost all you need, but...

Mod is made with Cinema 2.0 as a base, so there are lot's of guns, and rest of effects with some others.
This time I don't use any shootdodge anims, because you are NOT Daigo or Gert, nor even Neo, but simple common PSYCHOPATH with big guns and you want to kill anyone who is on your way.
Gib System it's not from Necro mod, just old gib used in various mod. And there is also JAX model from evolvercobra with edited little bit textures.
You may ask: "From where such idea?", but answer for that is some story:
I was kinda DRUNK when I play Beat Cops: The Force mod and I like the idea but cops should be MY enemies, what would be cooler (4 ME of course). And when I turn off game and listen Eminem - Same Song and Dance when he sing:
"And just as soon as you pass out in your alphabet soup
Im about to make a new outfit outta you
A new outfit? shit i'll make a new suit outta your shoe
Now show me how you move girl, do how you do"
i get This is it! So I start making new mod.

###The Story###
After dead as the Crow Max Payne back to life in Purgatory (for killing sin), and there in City of Lost Heaven he live along as cop, waiting to meet his dead wife in Heaven. He have the Mark, like everyone in his afterworld, which be until he erase all his sins, and send the one's who choose life in crime to Hell. Now his final battle has begun...
Also I choose that Max change into the Crow like in the series: "The Crow: Stairway to Heaven".
###Immortality###
It was kinda problem for me to choose between mortal or immortal Crow like in the movies, but i choose the Crow to be mortal (you are only immortal in time of 'Crow Stand' pose made by Napster).

-Select the mod from drop-down mod selector
-Choose options and Un-Check "Pixel Shader Skins" if the mod is crashing on your PC
-Play

-Walk ability (from Punisher mod)

This mod was created to add greater variety to the main Max Payne 2 game and also add new weapons and levels. There are a few DMW levels included too. This mod is unfinished at the moment but I wanted to get the files out on the web for people to play. The main plot is Max Payne is tasked with stopping remaining forces of cleaners acting on their own within the city. He finds himself in between the continuing war between the mob and the cleaners who are fighting for control of illegal arms flowing into the city. There is a new character, Hawk, who assists Max. Hawk also has his own mini level which is a remake of the excellent X-Demo from Max Payne 1. There are also new character models within this mod (bosses, soldiers) that are not used extensively. Feel free to use them. |
