Project Description
Absent Grave is a Max Payne 2 'total conversion' featuring zombies. The mod will include new levels, skins, weapons, sounds, music, animations and more.

Due to some unforseen circumstances I have decided to change the mod's name of Dead Wake to "Absent Grave". This won't change anything though, so don't worry. There's a bunch of new screenshots showing off the new weapons and zombies as well.

I couldn't resist making a little christmas card for anyone eagerly awaiting Dead Wake's release

The mod is still alive and kicking ass, improving every day, new levels being made, gameplay mechanics getting sorted, things are looking good

I've been working on the mod on and off this past month whenever I get time. I have created a new weapons hud which I am extremely proud of considering I don't even have photoshop (which makes things a heck of a lot more time-consuming). I have also tweaked the camera to have a Resident Evil 4 look and feel (camera to the left a bit and closer to the player). In the screenshots gallery you'll find the new church (compared to the old one) and also me messing around with hordes of flaming zombies.

Some of you might think that this will be the end of updating this cdc, because 'ModDB is way better' but that is not going to be the case. ModDB and L4Y both have some neat features of their own. The cdc has polls and...well, it has polls. Whereas ModDB has comment support and easy image uploading, but it is also confusing and long-winded.

I will still update this cdc with some not-so-good looking screens and little bits of news here and there. So once again, stay tuned! And sorry for the enormity of this post

Work has been a little slow on the mod lately because of laziness but with the holdiays a week away, I should get something done. The place has been updated with some fresh screenshots (courtesy of unit_p) showing off gameplay and the new player model (rigged by Andersen, face skin by maxben). Enjoy!

Since it's my birthday today and I'm in a good mood, I thought it a good time for an update. I've added pictures of the church level (80% done) and the very recently made park level (10% done). I have also added and removed a few weapons so now all the weapons are replaced and an extra 3 are ready to be added. The chainsaw is looking good with it's new animations, but it ain't quite done yet. Stay tuned.

My hard-drive failed and I only managed to back up my main dead wake mod file. I lost all the rest of the mod's data incuding Dead Wake music, a few animations, zombie sounds and levels, and my chainsaw Luckily this sad event has happened early on, so I haven't lost much. Once I have set up everything again, I will get back to work.

That's right, I've added four new weapons to the mod. Theres a G36k, AWP sniper, Beretta 87, and a Chainsaw (from serious sam). I may change these weapons, so if you have a weapon you think would fit the mod, just tell me the name and I'll take a look Oh, and take a look in screenshots for pictures of all the current weapons.

Welcome to this newly created cdc!

Dead Wake is a modification (possibly total conversion) for Max Payne 2. This mod has already been in the making for more than 3 months. The idea was born when I heard that Blood Will Tell was cancelled, and it was at that point I decided to make a zombie mod myself. I will try to keep this updated with screenshots and features weekly or monthly.
